- Named a 2008 Campus Sustainability Leader by the Sustainable Endowments Institute
- Committed to increasing the use of renewable energy (solar panels, wind turbines, etc.)
- One of the charter signatories on the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment
- Dining services team strives to use local, sustainable, and fair-trade food and composts 281 tons of food waste annually
- Total energy usage has decreased 9 percent since 2005
- 90-panel solar array in Curry Student Center produces more than 21 kilowatts of power
- Green-certified cleaning products used in all campus buildings
- Building our first LEED-accredited campus building (meaning that we've met certain environmental standards)
