TENG340
The Technological Entrepreneur as Leader and Innovator
This course will be team taught in two separate and distinct modules. The format will be interactive, with the goal of producing change in the understanding, skills and capabilities of each student. Module one – Students will learn to compose and present formal presentations of business plans. Through exercises in public speaking, students will develop self-confidence, an acute sense of audience, and techniques to visualize their ideas. Module two – This module is designed to help students develop a deeper understanding of the dilemmas, complexities, and subtleties of responsible moral leadership. Through a series of HBS cases, students will work together to identify criteria that enable decisions to be assessed for moral or ethical soundness. By giving students a practical grounding in these issues, we will prepare them for the complex decisions they will inevitably face and the ability to act with integrity, accountability and pragmatism.
