Summer 1 and Full Summer 2008 Registration Information


“I Am Here” Registration

“I Am Here” will be held via the myNEU Web Portal starting on

  • Thursday, May 1, 2008, at 8:00 AM

and ending on

  • Monday, May 5, 2008, at 4:00 PM

All returning Undergraduate Day students (with no blocks) enrolled in academic courses for Summer 1 and Full Summer 2008 will have access to “I Am Here” via the web.

Please note: Starting on Thursday, May 1, 2008, a message will appear on the InfoChannels section of your myNEU menu with directions on how to complete your Summer 1 and Full Summer 2008 “I Am Here” registration.

You must log in to your myNEU account and complete your “I Am Here” registration and clear any registration blocks you may have by 4:00 PM on Monday, May 5. If you do not do so, then all of your courses will be dropped.


Start of Classes

Classes start Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at 8:00 AM.


Course Add/Drop


Course add/drop is May 6–12, 2008, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM.

We strongly discourage dropping classes if you are not sure that your alternate choice is available. Classes can be added via myNEU or through your advisor during the first week of classes.


Blocks

If you have any nonfinancial blocks, then you must clear them in the appropriate office(s) before going to the ballroom. You will need to get a “Clearance Card” from the appropriate office and bring it to the following location:

  • May 5, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM: Curry Student Center Ballroom

If you clear your block after May 5, then please bring your “Clearance Card” to 120 Hayden Hall, but keep in mind that all your courses will have been dropped, and you will need to reregister via myNEU at that time.

On May 5 between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, you will be able to conduct all business with the Student Accounts Office (clearing blocks, obtaining Husky IDs, inquiring about your student account or student refund, etc.) in the Curry Student Center.

After May 5, all Registrar, Student Account, and Husky ID business will be conducted at 120 Hayden Hall.


Change of Student Status

To change your status, bring the paperwork from your dean (for major changes) or from Co-op (for division changes) to the following location:

  • May 5, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM: Curry Student Center Ballroom

Final Exams

Information regarding final exam schedules is available online.

If you have two final exams scheduled at the same time, or if you have three final exams scheduled on the same day, then you have an “exam conflict.” The deadline to file a Final Exam Conflict Form is Tuesday, May 20.
