Husky Dollars


Procedure

You decide how much money you want available in Husky Dollars and how you'd like to deposit it. Then use your Husky Card instead of cash when you shop on and around campus.

Options on how to fund your Husky Dollar account:

1. Credit card: MasterCard, Visa or Discover Or Electronic Check

2. Check

Make payable to Northeastern University.

3. Add it to your University billing statement

On the student's myNEU account click on the self-service tab. In "Student Accounts" Area click on appropriate application link under "Husky Card". To be eligible to charge your University billing statement, your account must be paid in full or reflect a documented financial plan by the bill due date. The University may enforce restrictions on maximum amounts charged.

4. Payroll deduction (available to full-time, benefit-eligible employees only): PDF form.

No matter what method of payment is used, your deposit will be available to you within two business days!


Terms and Conditions

No cash withdrawals can be made from your Husky Account. Student refunds will be issued only upon graduation or withdrawal from the university. Faculty and staff may request funds at any time and will receive these in the form of a check in six to ten business days.

Caring for Your Card

A few precautions will keep your Husky Card in prime condition. Do not expose it to direct sunlight or heat. Also, make sure the card does not come in contact with magnetic fields or other cards containing magnetic strips. Avoid stickers, holes, creases and other modifications to your card.


Lost or Stolen Cards

  • During normal business hours, notify the Office of Student Accounts at 617.373.2270 so your missing card can be deactivated.
  • During nonbusiness hours, contact university police at 617.373.2121 so your missing card can be deactivated.
  • Replace your lost or stolen card for a fee of $15 at the Office of Student Accounts in 120 Hayden Hall.
