Frequently Asked Questions—Registration

I just registered for or dropped a course through the myNEU Web Portal, but the change is not reflected on my schedule. What should I do?

After registering for or dropping a course, it takes up to twenty-four hours for the change to be reflected in your myNEU account and in Blackboard. If you are still unable to view your correct class information after this time, please contact the Help Desk at 617.373.HELP or help@neu.edu.

I am an Undergraduate Day student. I forgot to do my “I Am Here.” What do I do now?

All classes for which you registered have been dropped from your schedule. Please attempt to reregister for your classes via your myNEU account. If a class is now full, you may try to register directly with the professor and the department offering the course by submitting a Closed &Late Course Registration Form. If you do not reregister for any classes, then you will be withdrawn from the University.

I am an Undergraduate Day student. How do I go about making the changes to my schedule?

If you are a freshman, you will need to contact your academic advisor for assistance with changes to your class schedule. Otherwise, you can add/drop through your student account on the myNEU Web Portal until the drop only date ends for each semester.

After that date, to add a course you will need to fill out a Closed & Late Course Registration Form and have the instructor and the dean's office sign off on the form. Last, return the form to 120 Hayden Hall for processing. Please note: If there are physically not enough seats in the classroom, your request form may be denied.

To drop an Undergraduate Day course, you will need to fill out an Undergraduate Course Drop Form, have your instructor and dean's office sign off on the form, and return the form to 120 Hayden Hall for processing.
