The Academic Plan extends the transformative power of our century-strong experiential learning educational philosophy to a host of new areas and sets a robust agenda to establish Northeastern as the leader in academic research on experiential learning.

The Academic Plan broadens intellectual life and creative expression on campus beyond the core curriculum to cross-disciplinary studies, initiatives such as Northeastern Creates, and partnerships with artists and arts organizations that further link Northeastern to the surrounding community and global societal issues.

Valuing our faculty as essential partners in achieving every aspect of the Academic Plan, we have hired 11 of 30 senior professors whose leadership in interdisciplinary research and teaching translational research in particular personifies Northeasternуs excellence, distinctiveness, and innovation.
