The Boston Globe
's Personal Tech column showcased Professor Dinos Mavroidis' knee brace and the Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory's grip-strengthening device.

Criminal Justice associate dean Jack McDevitt wrote an op-ed for The Boston Globe about why the justice system should not treat juveniles as adults; Profssor Donna Bishop's research is cited.

The Boston Globe quoted Jack McDevitt in an article about hate crime legislation that is moving through Congress.  McDevitt testified in favor of the bill, which President Bush is expected to veto.

The Christian Science Monitor quoted Political Science professor William Mayer about why Massachusetts policians tend to do well in early primaries, saying they are already familiar to voters in New Hampshire.

Channel 5, WCVB, covered a report from Northeastern's Institute on Urban Health Research that found that many African-American veterans felt discriminated against when recieving health care.

Professor Bill Mayer has discussed Mitt Romney's bid for the Republican nomination in several publications, including the Boston Phoenix and the Chicago Tribune.

Research from the Center for Labor Market Studies about summer teenage employment appeared in The Boston Globe, The Washington Post and other national and local media.

George Thrush, director of the School of Architecture, wrote an op-ed for The Boston Globe about the impact of razing Boston's City Hall.  He was also quoted in a Boston Globe Magazine article about the Urban Ring.

Martha Davis, law professor and co-director of Northeastern’s Program on Human Rights, wrote an op-ed for The Boston Globe about the role that global human rights consciousness can have on local policy.

Music professor Anthony DeRitis' composition Devolution, which was performed by the Boston Modern Orchestra Project and featured DJ Spooky, was previewed by The Boston Globe and Bostonist.  After the performance, the Globe gave it a glowing review.

Computer Science professor Timothy Bickmore's digital health coach "Laura" was featured in The Boston Globe's Health and Science section.

Mass High Tech ran an article about RE-SEED, a Northeastern program that pairs retired scientists with Massachusetts teachers to improve the teaching of science and technology.  Christos Zahopoulos, the co-founder of the project, was quoted.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune interviewed Jack Levin about gossip.  Newspapers across the nation published the story, which said that men gossip more than women.

Northeastern's commencement ceremony at the TD Banknorth Boston Garden was the subject of an article in The Boston Globe.
