"Northeastern Creates" exhibits artistic work by University community

Art works by faculty, staff, and students are on exhibit in an online gallery on the Northeastern Web site as part of Northeastern Creates, an ongoing celebration of the University's artistic spirit that showcases the creative achievements of members of the University community.

The submitted works—more than 140 paintings, photographs, sketches, sculptures, multimedia works, poetry and fiction—include paintings by Professor of Music Dennis Miller, a short film by student Michael Quill, and poetry by English Lecturer Heather Nagami.

During the fall, 55 of the entries were shown throughout the day in digital video on a large-screen television in the Curry Student Center Indoor Quad. This winter, a select number of these works will be replicated on banners and displayed on the Avenue of the Arts.
