Internships
and Resources
Internships can give you valuable experience working for an employer in
your chosen field or one you want to explore. They can help you with your
career decision making process by allowing you to test the waters
to see what a field is really about. Internships can be paid or unpaid,
part-time or full-time. While many companies have formal internship programs,
many students create their own. Especially if you are not participating
in co-op, youll find that internships pay off in real-world work
experience that enhances your resume and gives you an edge in a job search.
For
internships for which the employer requires academic credit,
Career Services offers MCOPU181, Internship for Career Decision Making,
a one-credit elective. Email Tina Mello, t.mello@neu.edu for more information
about the course.
For information on internships in general, please schedule an appointment
with the liaison to your college.
