Huskies vs. Red Sox - Cookout & Spring Training Game

The Northeastern University baseball team may still be looking for its first win over the Boston Red Sox, but the fifth annual Huskies vs. Red Sox Cookout and Spring Training Game on February 28 was an otherwise overwhelming success.

Nearly 700 alumni and friends attended the event at City of Palms Park in Fort Myers, Florida which was hosted by the Naples Alumni Chapter.

Alumni and friends from 17 states - including some from as far away as Wisconsin and California - helped account for the largest turnout in the history of the event.

Participants enjoyed a barbeque luncheon at the park and event emcee Jack Moynihan, MPA'93, Vice President of Alumni Relations and the Northeastern Fund, kept things going as the crowd heard remarks from Northeastern President Dr. Joseph E. Aoun; Northeastern baseball coach Neil McPhee, Ed'68; Sam Kennedy, Larry Lucchino and Tom Warner of the Boston Red Sox.
