John Adams Support

ALERT has partnered with the John Adams Innovation Institute to generate matching Commonwealth of Massachusetts funds to support industrial member activities that align with university research proposals to government agencies.

ALERT’s award by the Department of Homeland Security to become a Center of Excellence in explosive detection, mitigation and response is an example of this partnership. In addition to the $10 million in federal funding from DHS, there is an additional $1.6 million in matching funds from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This supplement is intended to support transitional research development activities by industrial partners such as Analogic, Raytheon, Siemens, and Textron.
