Campus Life
Athletics and Recreation
As one of the top 100 collegiate athletic programs in the nation, Northeastern excels in a number of sports. The University fields 19 varsity teams in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I sports, as well as other teams and individuals in national and international arenas. Nicknamed the Huskies, our varsity teams are among the most successful in New England, winning numerous league championships and NCAA playoff berths in recent years, and hosting some of the biggest collegiate events.
If you seek less demanding competition, join any of nearly 40 intramural and club teams or stretch your muscles at one of three fitness centers on campus.
