Human Resource Management - Hours of Work
Policy
PURPOSE: To define the standard work week for University employees.
SCOPE: All full-time, non-faculty employees.
POLICY:
2. Non-exempt employees (weekly paid) receive a 15-minute break period each day, as arranged with each supervisor.
3. Employees in the Crafts and Trades and Services categories -- as well as certain other employees -- have a standard work week of 40 hours.
4. Some offices require evening and week-end coverage. Staff members in these offices work according to an altered work schedule that the department head prepares.
